Letter Match

Before the game starts, you will need to write the capital letters of the alphabet on separate pieces of paper/ posts its and lay these face-down on the table.

Ask your child to choose a card from the table and turn it over to reveal a capital letter. They must then ‘match’ the lower-case letter by tracing it on the letter formation board.

For example, if they turned over ‘N’ they would trace the lower case ‘n’

If they are correct, they can keep the card. If not they must lay it face down again.

Players can either take it in turns to play or you can support your child to see how many capital letters they can recognise.

Alternatively, you can also write lower case letters on cards and use these to match the capital letters on the reverse of the Letter Formation whiteboard.
