At Eastpoint, we believe every child deserves the tools they need to succeed in school. That’s why we were proud to support Love, Amelia. For their School Bag Project 2024, we donated a range of classroom essentials, including whiteboards, markers, and more.
Love, Amelia launched the School Bag Project as a pilot initiative across Sunderland. They had one clear mission: to ensure that no child starts the school year without the essentials. In partnership with local schools and families, Love, Amelia thoughtfully filled school bags with items children need both in the classroom and at home. These bags included everything from stationery to learning tools, carefully chosen to support real learning needs.
Thanks to the hard work of their dedicated volunteers, over 2,000 children received a backpack full of essentials. These supplies not only equip children, but also gives them the confidence to begin their academic year on a strong note.
What is Love, Amelia?
Love, Amelia is a children’s charity offering support to families experiencing poverty and hardship across North East England. This includes Sunderland, South Tyneside, North Tyneside, Gateshead, Newcastle, Northumberland, and County Durham.
They accept donations of pre-loved baby items in great condition and gift them to families who need them most. Since their launch in 2019, they have supported over 24,000 children in our community. The items they pass on are given with great care and love. They ensure that no child, from birth to 16 years old, goes without essential items.
Responding to the needs of the community is at the heart of what they do. Love, Amelia is designed to support families and ensure children have the essential items needed to be safe, happy and to thrive.
Our Contribution
We were delighted to donate a variety of our products, including whiteboards, markers, and other key resources. We understand the powerful impact that simple tools like these can have. Whether they’re helping a child master handwriting, practise times tables, or engage more actively in lessons.
Why It Matters
Access to basic school supplies should never be a barrier to education. Projects like this are a reminder of how communities and businesses can come together to create meaningful change. When children are properly equipped, they’re more likely to attend school, engage in lessons, and succeed academically. Here at Eastpoint, we believe that if every pupil enjoys learning, they’ll do better work. If they do better work, you will have a happier school
